I was living in LA about 6 years ago with my then-gf, we were both working full-time, well paying jobs. My commute was an hour and 30 minutes on an easy day (10 fucking miles) So I was always burned out by the time I got home. We couldn’t even afford a 1 bedroom without removing our ability to save completely away. We were both able to put away like $200-400 a month, and that’s so ridiculously sad.
