This is basically the summary of the findings. So, some people died because the virus made other problems worse. Some people died from secondary infections that should have been attributed to COVID-19. Some people died because of the stress related to the lockdown. Some people died because they were too afraid to seek medical help due to the high rates of COVID-19 in the hospital.
Isolation is well known to induce inflammation which can lead to all sorts of problems. My bet is that it has been the overreaction and hysterical panic unprecedented in all of world history, leading to the strict lockdowns that maybe could have been a bit more reasonable in execution. Not only was the economy devastated along with people’s livelihoods, restaurant and bar owners, people starting a business, but workers in general. Poverty is up.
